Laura McCulloch graduated high school from Durban Girls' College in Durban, South Africa, where she was a class    captain and a class prefect. She hasLaura McCulloch represented her State for track, cross-country, and field hockey, as well as  representing the South African National Swimming and Lifesaving teams. Between graduating high school and starting college, Laura spent 8 months doing healthcare volunteer work in South Africa. At Dartmouth, Laura is pursuing a major in Geography modified with Global Health and a double minor in Sociology and Public Policy. She spent her sophomore spring in Washington, DC, where she worked with former Assistant Surgeon General, Rear Admiral Susan Blumenthal (Ret.), on various global health issues and public policy initiatives. Laura is a member of the Dartmouth Varsity swim team and the Green Key Society. She is an Eating Disorder Peer Advisor and a First Year Peer Mentor, and is involved with the Dartmouth Coalition for Global Health, Active Minds, and Standpoints Magazine. Upon graduation, Laura hopes to pursue an MD-MPH degree and eventually have a career in global health or public health policy.  She enjoys traveling, surfing, horseback-riding, and being your Dartmouth global health ambassador.
