Dickey Center Visiting Fellows Print E-mail

Dickey Fellows are selected to spend a minimum of one term and up to a year in residence at Dartmouth, researching and writing about international issues related to one of the Centers research areas: conflict and conflict resoultion, environmental change and human and environmental interactions at the earths high latitudes, and global health. These research areas correspond with the Dickey Center's research institutes of War and Peace, the Institute of Arctic Studies and the Global Health Initiative, and Dickey Fellows will be integrated into the activities of each where approrpiate. Scholars from all disciplines and practitioners from the worlds of science and medicine, policy, journalism and humanitarian assistance are welcome to apply. While at Dartmouth, fellows are expected to participate in seminars and colloquia relevant to their area of interest, and to work towards the completion of a scholarly monograph or similar project.

The Dickey Center Visiting Fellows program is made possible in part by the generous support of William M. Glovsky and the Glovsky Family Fund in memory of Ruth and Abraham Glovsky, created to encourage academic research in and teaching of alternative dispute resolution through interdisciplinary study of the differences among peoples and the motivations, consequences and possible resolutions of conflict between them.
