Faculty Workshops: Comparative Democracy Print E-mail

Comparative Democracy

The Comparative Democracy Group is an interdisciplinary faculty seminar focusing on the development and performance of democracy around the world.  CDG seminars present original research on democratization and governance by Dartmouth researchers and invited scholars.

The standard seminar format is for a project to be presented by its author, followed by Q&A and discussion among all seminar participants.  Research papers are available on the CDG website a week to 10 days before each seminar.   Most seminars take place from 12:30-2:00pm and lunch is served.

The CDG is sponsored by the Dickey Center for International Understanding and directed by Professor John Carey (Government Department).  Dartmouth faculty from all schools, departments, and programs are welcome, and Dartmouth scholars are especially encouraged to present their own work to the CDG.   Anyone interested should contact John Carey.
