University of Dar es Salaam College of
Engineering and Technology: The University of Dar es Salaam is the oldest
and largest public university in Tanzania. It seeks to pursue research,
education, and public service directed towards attaining equitable and
sustainable socioeconomic development of Tanzania and the African continent
beyond.
Jane Goodall Institute: The Jane Goodall Institute works to preserve
the environment through community-centered conservation approaches that
provides local communities with the tools needed to manage natural resources
for long term economic gain and environmental prosperity. Its TACARE program
focuses on local communities and supports the health of families in the Kigoma
region through family planning and health care services, agroforestry
techniques, and agricultural education and support.
Muhimbili University of Health and Allied
Sciences: MUHAS in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania trains health professionals and
engages in research and public service in order to be a catalyst in equitable
socio-economic development. MUHAS has five constituent schools - Medicine,
Dentistry, Pharmacy, Nursing, Environmental Health Sciences. It is the leading
medical and health training institution in Tanzania. Established with the
primary aim of training clinical health staff, it has since expanded into new
academic programs that invest in health sciences leadership.
