Positioning Dartmouth as a Leader in International Higher Education

This comprehensive overview of contemporary international higher education is not to be missed! The session provides a snapshot of international student and scholar mobility trends before introducing the emerging “field” and the “profession” of education abroad. Current trends in education abroad programming will be discussed as well as the emerging areas of inquiry in education abroad research and scholarship.  Participants will be invited to reflect on why higher education is investing so much in international experiences, whether the value investment of such programming is being challenged in this current political environment, and what it means for Dartmouth to be a leader in international higher education?

This workshop is part of the Frank J. Guarini Institute's Fall Seminar Series on International Education and is co-sponsored by the John Sloan Dickey Center of International Understanding. Come to just one; come to all three!
