War & Peace Fellows De-brief on their Visit to U.S. Central and Special Operations Commands
Tuesday, February 27th
6pm
031 Haldeman Center, Kreindler Conference Hall

On January 16th, ten Dickey Center War & Peace Fellows visited the Tampa, Florida headquarters of the U.S. Military’s Central Command, which coordinates and oversees U.S. military operations from Egypt to Afghanistan, and U.S. Special Operations Command, which runs all global special operations. There, they met with the four-star generals who run both commands as well as a range of officers, civil servants and liaisons from other government agencies who work with the commands. Students who participated in the trip will brief the Dartmouth community on their experiences and how this unique opportunity affected their understanding of the U.S. military. Read about the visit, sponsored by the Class of 1978's National Defense and Security Initiative, here.
