Personal Safety, Health and Wellness, and Emergency Support Videos
Below is a short 3-part video series that covers personal safety, health & wellness, and emergency support tips for students heading overseas for study, internships, or research experiences. These videos are meant to supplement pre-departure training and advising offered through on-campus departments. The videos were created by the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding with assistance from the Office of the Provost and a collaborative team of colleagues working across the institution on a range of international & intercultural programs.

Title IX - Sexual Respect
Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 defines and ensures gender equity in education. The law prohibits all forms of sex or gender-based discrimination in any education program or activity that receives federal funding. Title IX applies to all Dartmouth educational programs or activities, including sponsored off-campus programs.
Title IX states:
“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”
Title IX applies to all employees (administrators, faculty, staff), not just students, at the College.
Dartmouth College designates the Title IX Coordinator, Heather Lindkvist, to coordinate the College's efforts to comply with and carry out its responsibilities under Title IX.
Inquiries or complaints concerning the application of Title IX may be referred to the College's Title IX Coordinator and/or to the U.S. Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights.
