In the spirit of President Dickey, who created a university within a college and a college of university caliber, the Center seeks to facilitate and coordinate international initiatives that involve the professional schools of medicine, business and engineering along with all the divisions of the undergraduate college.
Dartmouth Centers Forum
The Dartmouth Centers Forum is a collaboration among eleven Centers and Institutes at Dartmouth whose aim is to respond to growing political, ideological, social and intellectual dissonance through the promotion of constructive and informed dialog on campus. Through performance, lectures, film discussion, curricular enhancement and other activities, we seek to foster a campus wide dialogue on a theme of broad appeal. Dartmouth Medical School
The Dickey Center has joined with the Dartmouth Medical School to help advance their initiatives in the field of international health. Here are a few examples of the programs at the Medical School supported by the Dickey Center:

-
The Dartmouth International Health Group
The DIHG, organized by Dartmouth Medical School students with the assistance of the center funds international health care volunteer projects and sponsors lectures and conferences at the college that address current international public health issues. DIHG-Dickey Fellowships have made it possible for Dartmouth medical students to explore international health care opportunities throughout the world.
-
The Dartmouth-Kosovo Project
A major initiative of the DMS Dean's office is the Kosovo Project, a collaboration between Dartmouth Medical School and the University of Prishtina School of Medicine to help the latter rebuild and revitalize their medical school and center. This program involves exchanges of faculty and students from both institutions, and will hopefully lead to the creaton of an elective rotation for DMS students at the Univeristy of Prishtina Medical Center.
