Jacob Hamanenga

Jacob Hamanenga is a financial engineer who has been working in the field of academics and research for over four years. He is currently a mathematics lecturer at the Copperbelt University, Zambia where he lectures on financial mathematics and does research work and consultancy in financial engineering and actuarial science. This allows him to mentor students at the University as well as engage in national developmental research projects as his contribution to the university community and national development. Jacob holds a Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Liverpool, England where he focused on cutting-edge research in finance and insurance using software such as Matlab, E-views, R, and programming in C++ language. After completing the Fellowship, Jacob plans to expand his research and consultancy work by creating a consultancy firm for finance and actuarial science that will help provide a sustainable finance and insurance industry for Zambia.
