The Dickey Center hasn't just exposed me to new things but has also given me the resources to properly explore these potential interests. I have gained deeper understandings of class topics through not only but sometimes individually interacting with speakers who have first hand experience with things we have only read about in class. This sort of out-of-class interaction allows me to appreciate and connect to my Dartmouth education in a much rucher and more tangible way.

In the spirit of President Dickey's vision of a modern liberal arts education, the Dickey Center develops programs that encourage students to apply the knowledge and skills they are acquiring in the classroom in a variety of international activities, both on and off campus.
