Kristen Chalmers

Global Health Initiative Student Intern

Kristen Chalmers is a ’17 from Bellingham, WA. At Dartmouth she is studying anthropology and neuroscience, and hopes to pursue a career in medicine. She has spent two off-terms engaged in Dickey Global Health Initiative internships, one at the Institute of Population, Health, and Development in Hanoi, Vietnam and one at Build Health International in Beverly, MA. In addition to her international experiences through the Dickey Center, Kristen has also spent a term interning with The Selamta Family Project, a community organization in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, studied at the University of Auckland through the Anthropology Department, and is currently preparing for a trip to India to study eye disease with the biology department.
