Research Fellowships for undergraduates and recent doctoral graduates are available from the Institute of Arctic Studies. 

Stefansson Fellowship

The Stefansson Fellowship is awarded to undergraduate students who would like to pursue a research project that could be enhanced by travel to a Northern community or location. We also consider projects that involve high mountain glacial research or research with another Arctic research center in the U.S. or elsewhere. The objective of the fellowhship is to go beyond the limits of library research and provide younger scholars with field experience. Click here for more information.

Fellowships available for recent doctoral graduates and established scholars to spend a minimum of one term and up to a year in residence researching and writing about international issues related to one of the Center's research areas: conflict and conflict resolution, human dimensions of environmental change at the earths high latitudes, and global health.
