Expedition Members

JSEP teams are a collaboration between educators, graduate students, high school students, and program support from Greenland, Denmark and the United States.

The 2016 JSEP expedition members spelled out their team spirit on the Greenland Ice Sheet. 

2018 JSEP Expedition

In 2018 JSEP expedition members dug snow pits and shared their science knowledge at the Kangerlussuaq Airport.

2018-19 JASE Expedition

The 2018-19 expedition departs for Chile and Antarctica in December 2018. The Spanish-speaking US students team up with Chilean students to study polar science and share personal science projects. 

2017 JSEP Expedition

The 2017 JSEP Expedition learned about mosquitoes, sea tomatoes, and the science of climate change. They also visited Summit Station at the top of Greenland Ice Sheet.   

2016 JSEP Expedition

The 2016 JSEP Expedition launched weather balloons, explored snow pits, created albedo traps as well as learned how to tie knots and set up a camp -- and play with sled dog puppies! Like the 2015 Expedition, they shared their science knowledge at the Kangerlussuaq Airport.
