The Institute of Arctic Studies at the Dickey Center is Dartmouth’s crossroads for multidisciplinary Arctic scholarship and global policy dialogs that center inclusion, justice, equity, and Indigenous Knowledge in solutions to Arctic and global challenges.
We provide undergraduate and graduate students with guidance on educational and research opportunities. Our seminars and public events highlight the policy-relevant scholarship of Arctic academic organizations, community leaders, Indigenous Knowledge Holders, and policymakers. Our vision is to continue building trust and partnerships at Dartmouth and internationally, engaging the wealth of academic, community, and Arctic knowledge systems to best inform pressing Arctic and global challenges, from rapid climate change to security, governance, and sustainable development.
