Learn about the five strategic areas of global concern for which we develop initiatives that provide in-depth knowledge.
Recognizing the importance of gender when considering issues such as economic development, workforce equality, sexual violence, and the root causes of inequality is critical. A gender analysis of global problems can help alleviate hardships experienced by women but also help solve global economic and security issues.
The Dickey Center offers International Internships for undergraduate students interested in volunteering for organizations working on gender and women's issues. We also support the International Studies course "Cultures, Places and Identities" (INTS 17), which addresses contemporary global issues, including race, gender and class.
