Intercultural Learning Community for faculty and staff
The Dartmouth Intercultural Learning Community is a dynamic space for faculty and staff dedicated to fostering intercultural learning (ICL), regardless of whether it’s part of their official role.
Here, intercultural practitioners from diverse disciplines come together to collaborate, share experiences, and strengthen the impact of ICL outcomes. This community provides a supportive environment for ongoing professional development, offering opportunities to enhance intercultural skills, exchange ideas, and engage in innovative learning experiences. Members mentor and support one another while contributing to a collective sense of purpose, research, and innovation in the field of intercultural learning.
Join us the second Tuesday of each month in Haldeman 124 at 12:15pm. Lunch is provided.
Broadening Your International Awareness:
Intercultural Skill-Building Workshops
These termly intercultural skills-building workshops, facilitated by the Dickey Center for International Understanding and the Guarini Institute for International Education at Dartmouth, offer participants a chance to explore culture and communication dynamics. These interactive sessions focus on:
• Understanding how values, beliefs, and perceptions differ across cultures.
• Examining how culture shapes our worldview.
• Developing practical skills for navigating diverse environments.
