This fall, we’ve been joined by Class of ’25 graduate Hyunjin Rheem as our Great Issues Fellow with the Davidson Institute for Global Security.
Hyunjin is from Riverside, California, and graduated with a major in Government and a minor in International Studies. Her academic focus encompassed foreign policy decision-making and the ethical implications of law. During her time at Dartmouth, she engaged with the legal and policy community as a Law and Ethics Fellow, a Rockefeller Leadership Fellow, and an editor for the Dartmouth Law Journal. She was also co-president of the Dartmouth Archery Club, an intern at the Center for Career Design, and research assistant for the Political Violence FieldLab.
Throughout her undergraduate career, Hyunjin gained professional experience through internships, including protein research during her freshman summer, a corporate legal assistant her sophomore fall, and at the U.S. Attorney’s Office her junior spring, where she worked on cases and conducted legal research. These experiences have shaped her goal to attend law school in the future and pursue a career in academia.
