On Thursday, Aug. 18, 2011, former Dickey Center Arctic Fellow Aqquluk Lynge, president of the Inuit Circumpolar Council, talked to National Public Radio’s Morning Edition about the drive to exploit his country’s large oil and gas resources, as well as their potential diamonds and gold deposits. Lynge warns that environmental concerns as well as economic issues have to be taken into consideration.
