Katherine Irajpanah, a 2025-2026 Rosenwald Postdoctoral Fellow with the Davidson Institute, has received the 2026 Walter Isard Award from the Peace Science Society (International) for the Best Dissertation in Peace Science. Now Assistant Professor of Government at Cornell, Irajpanah wrote her dissertation, The Balance of Restraint: An Analysis of Warfighting Norms and Patterns in Global Conflict, while at Harvard’s Kennedy School.
