Expedition Members

JSEP teams are a collaboration between educators, graduate students, high school students, and program support from Greenland, Denmark and the United States.

2017 Expedition

The 2017 JSEP Expedition learned about mosquitoes, sea tomatoes, and the science of climate change. They also visited Summit Station at the top of Greenland Ice Sheet.

2016 Expedition

The 2016 JSEP Expedition launched weather balloons, explored snow pits, created albedo traps as well as learned how to tie knots and set up a camp -- and play with sled dog puppies! Like the 2015 Expedition, they shared their science knowledge at the Kangerlussuaq Airport.

In the summer of 2015, JSEP Expedition members explored the mysterious biology of sea tomatoes, studied Greenland Ice Sheet dynamics, and created a music video (Ain't No Moutain High Enough for this group!).
