Now on display in the Russo Gallery in Haldeman
Based in Billings, Montana, Nan Beber Darham’s artwork and writings chronicle the landscape, wildlife and characters that populate her life in the West. She configures a changing geography that includes immense historical and contemporary issues of the Greater Yellowstone ecosystem.
A MALS ’24, Nan received the Dartmouth Ethics Institute Thomas D. Sayles Research Grant, Guarini School of Graduate and Advanced Studies Alumni Research Award, Master of Arts Liberal Studies Thesis Grant, and Master of Arts Liberal Studies Scholarship. She also attended Dartmouth’s Advanced Creative Writing Summer Program at Oxford College and the Oxford School of Rare Jewish Languages.
Her narrative drawings and paintings also share personal stories of her cultural heritage and traditions transcending past and present.
Nan’s work has been exhibited in the Offices of Senator Max Baucus, Washington D.C., The Federal Reserve Bank, Minneapolis, MN, the Yellowstone Art Museum, Billings, MT and numerous galleries and museums across the US.
