Daisy Karimi Muthamia is a certified PMP project manager and engineer. She holds a BSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and an MSc in Energy Management, both from the University of Nairobi. She has been a project engineer at the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company since 2011 and is a founding member of Strauss Energy. Her organization manufactures photo voltaic integrated roofing tiles at the Climate Innovation Centre, which is domiciled at the Strathmore Business School, an initiative of the World Bank's InfoDev, and was featured as the People's Choice Winner Worldwide in the 1776 Global Challenge Cup (energy category). After the Fellowship, she intends to use the rich network and acquired skills to spearhead initiatives to overcome energy deficiencies in Kenya and Africa, as well as mentor young women to take up sciences, engineering, and entrepreneurship.
