Hafsat Dange has over nine years of work experience as a corporate lawyer. She is currently a Deputy Manager and Head of the Sokoto State Office of the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria and is responsible for registration and regulation of companies, business names and incorporated trustees. Hafsat holds a Bachelor of Laws from University of Abuja and Nigerian Law School. Hafsat is a social entrepreneur as well as an advocate for women’s rights and economic development. Through her NGO, Association of Northern Women Entrepreneurs (ANWE), she strives to ensure women’s participation in economic development as the country is pulling out of economic recession. Upon completion of the Mandela Washington Fellowship, Hafsat plans to promote and create opportunities for women and girls of Northern Nigeria by implementing her set objectives through her NGO.
