Martine is from Burkina Faso and will be studying business and entrepreneurship at Dartmouth College. She has a Master’s degree in International Business from Ling Tung University in Taiwan and currently works as an accountant for a construction company. She has previous experience working as a sales specialist and company representative in Burkina Faso for Goldenwell-Konta Integrated Network Engineering in Taiwan. In 2011 Martine won the first prize for an international creative business idea. She is excited to interact with other future African leaders from different countries and fields of interest and plans to share her experiences and knowledge to strengthen local capacity in the sectors of economics, environment, and social and cultural development. She hopes that her Fellowship experience will help further contribute to the realization of her social entrepreneurship business plan, which combines access to electricity through solar lamps and an improved educational system.
