Jeff Friedman, Associate Professor of Government and part of the Initiative for Global Security team, will be the ’23-’24 faculty advisor for World Outlook, Dartmouth’s student-run, peer-reviewed international affairs journal.
Professor Friedman’s research examines the politics and psychology of foreign policy decision-making. He is the author of two books, the soon-to-be-published “The Commander-in-Chief Test: Public Opinion and the Politics of Image-Making in U.S. Foreign Policy” (Cornell, 2023), and “War and Chance: Assessing Uncertainty in International Politics” (Oxford, 2019).
Professor Friedman is a highly respected scholar in the field of international relations, and passionate about mentoring students and helping them to develop their research skills.
