Internship with Future Earth

About the Internship

Future Earth works around the world to connect scholars, researchers, and innovators in support of a more sustainable planet.  With global, regional and national offices in 30+ counties, and with research projects spread across the world, and in every domain of sustainability science, we connect research to action through partnerships, programs, platforms, and new forms of outreach and engagement.

We are looking for exceptional applicants to work on our Sustainability Research and Innovation Congress. SRI is a new global meeting series for the sustainability science and innovation community. The first SRI Congress, SRI2021, held in Brisbane, Australia, and online, brought together over 2000 participants from more than 100 countries. SRI2022 will be held in Pretoria, South Africa, and online in June 2022 and it will bring together researchers, innovators, decision-makers, influencers and funders from all over the world to discover new ideas and develop networks and collaborations, geared towards tangible impact.

This is a great opportunity to support the international SRI team, gain skills in developing an innovative global meeting series, and to build networks across sectors and disciplines. We have had several interns support SRI and everyone has left with a strong skill set in communication and event management as well as new connections and knowledge about the latest in sustainability science and innovation.

The ideal candidate should be well-organized and creative and enjoy working in a dynamic international team.

Future Earth also has other opportunities working with our Global Research Network.  You can look for those opportunities HERE.
