Security Programming

Every term, the Dickey Center brings prominent political figures, military experts, civilian leaders, and scholars to campus to discuss issues of war and peace. The aim of our programs is to spark open dialogue embracing a variety of viewpoints on the major conflicts of our time.

Recent public speakers and panels have covered diverse and controversial issues such as nuclear proliferation, the rise of China, conflict prevention, transnational crime, citizen responsibilities in wartime, refugees, post-traumatic stress disorder, information technology and security, and U.S. foreign policy.

Most of our events are open to students, faculty, staff and the public, but for popular events, students receive preferential seating. If you would like to be on our mailing list and receive advance notice of events, please email the Dickey Center.
