Cuts to foreign aid and global health programs have left the U.S. and its partners less prepared to respond to Ebola outbreaks, argues Elizabeth Shackelford in her latest opinion piece for the Chicago Tribune. “The question is whether this outbreak will serve as a warning that triggers the U.S. government to reinvest in global health while it still can, or if that warning will come too late,” she writes.
