The Dickey Center mourns the loss of Chris Wren ’57, who served on our Board of Visitors from 1985 thru 2008, and brought a foreign correspondent’s hard-won perspective on global affairs to that work.
Over nearly three decades at The New York Times, Chris covered six wars and reported from Moscow, Cairo, Beijing, Johannesburg, and Ottawa — always, as he put it, because he wanted to make a difference.
