It has been a high-impact term for the Council after their successful re-launch at Dartmouth this fall. Recent highlights include:
- Curriculum Development: WAC successfully implemented a specialized curriculum for its members, covering the essentials of world affairs and the nuances of non-profit consulting through interactive group activities and lectures.
- Strategic Partnerships: The organization has formalized collaborations with two major international entities: the Caribbean Center for Human Rights and Mercy Corps.
- Membership Growth: The Council continues to build a strong community on campus, now boasting a cohort of 15 dedicated student members.
Looking Ahead: Opportunities for Students
As WAC transitions into its next phase, they are focusing on practical applications and leadership development:
- Consulting Projects: Students can now apply to work on (or lead) term-long projects that provide direct support to partner nonprofits. Apply here.
- Leadership Recruitment: WAC is currently seeking Junior Directors to join their executive board and help steer the organization’s future. Apply here.
- NGO Outreach: The team is actively expanding its network to bring more global NGO partners into the Dartmouth ecosystem.

A Collaborative Success
The Dickey Center is proud to support the World Affairs Council (WAC), a student-led organization dedicated to empowering Dartmouth undergraduates to understand and address critical global challenges. Through a combination of rigorous dialogue, targeted education, and hands-on experience, WAC is bridging the gap between academic theory and international practice.
