Arctic Studies Student Assistant

Ben Traugott is a '24 from Port Hope, Ontario pursuing a degree in Economics and Environmental Studies. At Dartmouth, Ben has contributed to several projects focussed on areas of sustainability, policy, and social impact including the Dartmouth Center for Social Impact Foundations program, the Energy Justice Clinic, and reforestation project cost research in the Environmental Studies Department. This past summer, Ben worked as a policy research intern for the Ontario Minister of Environment, Conservation, and Parks helping to shape the province's sustainability policy to move towards a circular economy. During his final year at Dartmouth he will be researching carbon pricing policy across jurisdictions and its potential role in international climate policy for his senior thesis. Outside the classroom, Ben is an admissions tour guide, an avid kayaker, and the vice president of his acapella group, the Dartmouth Cords.
