The Global Health Fellows program has officially kicked off with an engaging Fall Retreat, setting the stage for the cohort’s journey in global health and helping to build a close-knit community.
The Fellows program, which runs from fall through spring, involves co-curricular activities that dive deep into global health methods, equity, access, security, and leadership. Throughout the term, students will connect with a diverse network of faculty, students, and practitioners worldwide to discuss complex topics like human rights, health security, planetary health, and health diplomacy. These discussions place special emphasis on addressing health disparities and structural inequities in global systems.
The retreat at the Dartmouth Skiway provided a wonderful setting for the new Fellows to get to know one another, bond, and collaborate. Through group activities and games, participants had the chance to begin exploring various aspects of global health. The weekend was centered on encouraging and guiding students to think critically about these complex issues and how to advance collaborative solutions with and for global partners.
