The Dickey Center invites students to apply to the inaugural Dialogue Fellows Program. This immersive training program, developed In partnership with Seeds of Peace, aims to equip Dartmouth student leaders with the skills to foster constructive, peer-led dialogue across campus.
Based on recommendations from our Bridging Divide interns, we’ll train 15 Fellows to become skilled facilitators. They will learn to design and lead dialogue sessions for residential communities, student groups, and other campus programs, building a sustainable foundation for student-led conflict transformation at Dartmouth.
This is a unique opportunity to develop advanced facilitation and leadership skills while making a tangible impact on the campus community.
Here’s how it works:
- Apply to Become a Fellow: Submit your application to be considered for one of the 15 positions in the inaugural cohort.
- Participate in the Immersive on-campus training: Selected students will take part in a 7-day, on-campus workshop from September 6 – 12. The training is experiential and will cover core skills such as deep listening, asking generative questions, co-facilitation, and creating safe spaces for dialogue.
- Lead Dialogue on Campus: Throughout the academic year, you will then use your training to design and co-facilitate dialogue sessions, reaching an estimated 100+ peers and serving as a key resource for community-building initiatives on campus.
Participants are required to move to campus a week early and must be living in on-campus housing for the fall term. All meals will be provided for the duration of the September 6th-12th training workshop.
