Corey Huebner ’26, Senior Global Health and Development Intern at the Dickey Center, recently attended The Nature Conservancy’s biennial Volunteer Leadership Summit.
The event served as a gathering for global executive leadership, trustees, board members, state directors, and chief scientists. Corey was the youngest attendee and had the opportunity to network with participants ranging from the CEO to international trustees.
Advocacy Day with the Connecticut Chapter involved meetings with House Representatives and Senators, helping to advocate for several key policy areas, including Renewable Energy, Land Conservation, and Urban Forestry.
A great opportunity for Corey to engage with environmental policy and high-level advocacy efforts.
I was not only at the table of these meetings with House Representatives and Senators, but played a major role in advocating for what I so strongly believe in: renewable energy, land conservation, urban forestry, etc.
