Hugh Beach is a professor emeritus at Uppsala University, Sweden; Niels Einarsson is Director of the Stefansson Arctic Institute in Iceland; Astrid Ogilvie is a Fellow at INSTAAR (Institute of Arctic and Alpine Research) at University of Colorado Boulder and a Senior Scientist at the Stefansson Arctic Institute, Iceland. Ross Virginia is the Myers Family Professor of Environmental Science and Director of the Institute of Arctic Studies at the Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth. 

Professor Beach gives the 2016 Stefansson Memorial Lecture on Thursday, November 3, 4:30pm, 041 Haldeman on "Managing the Wilderness: Arctic Perspectives."  

The memorial lecture and the panel are free and open to all. Sponsored by the Institute of Arctic Studies at the Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth and the Stefansson Arctic Institute, Iceland.
