In January 2015, Ruth Heindel, an earth sciences PhD student, and Jessica Trout-Haney, a PhD student in ecology and evolutionary biology, went to Antarctica to conduct research. They created a blog that they used to answer questions from middle school students back in Windsor, Vermont.
