The John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding lauds a new, sustaining endowment from Georgina "Gina" Tugwell Russo '77 P'08 and Thomas "Tom" A. Russo '77 P'08 for the Great Issues Scholars (GIS) Program. Their gift of $1.1M will underwrite one of the Dickey Center's signature student programs and strengthen our commitment to support international understanding at Dartmouth.

This summer, we sent Ben Joel '27 around the world as our Going Global digital storyteller. His internship would involve visiting and documenting the life and work of our Dickey Center interns in the field, sharing and capturing their experiences living and working in a setting quite different from what they were used to. We caught up with Ben during some down time on his trip to learn more about his impressions.
