Our '22-'23 Rosenwald National Security postdoc, Caleb Pomeroy, explores how power shapes foreign policy attitudes in "Hawks Become Us: The Sense of Power and Militant Foreign Policy Attitudes" in the September 2023 issue of Security Studies.

This is the first paper based on Pomeroy's dissertation; he is currently a Stanton Nuclear Security Fellow at the Center for International Security and Cooperation at Stanford University where he continues to research the psychology of power in international relations, notably the effects of relative state power on human thought and behavior.
