As the Dickey Center's Pandemic Security Project comes to an end we're thrilled to see our partners from the Dartmouth International Vaccine Initiative (DIVI) continue the critical work to prepare us for the next pandemic.

Cody Meissner, MD, Professor of Pediatrics at Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and one of the presenters at last year's inaugural DIVI conference, has co-authored a perspective piece, Anticipating the Next Pandemic, in the New England Journal of Medicine. In it, the authors examine lessons for preparedness and response stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly the impact of the ambitious Project NextGen intended to accelerate and streamline the rapid development of the next generation of vaccines and treatments through public-private collaborations.

You can find Professor Meissner's presentation on the intricacies of the vaccine regulatory process at the DIVI Conference here.
