Dr. Kathy Snow Joins Institute of Arctic Studies as Canada Fulbright Research Chair

Dr. Kathy Snow

The Institute of Arctic Studies at the Dickey Center is excited to welcome Professor Kathy Snow, Professor & Graduate Studies Coordinator in the Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) as our Distinguished 2025 Canada Fulbright Research Chair in Arctic Studies. She will be at Dartmouth through April 30, 2025.

Dr. Kathy Snow is an Associate Professor within the Faculty of Education at the University of Prince Edward Island. She is also the Academic Lead for the University's Certificate in Educational Leadership Nunavut, a partnership program between University of Prince Edward Island and the Government of Nunavut to support professional develop of teachers. As a qallunaat (non-Inuit person) who grew up in Nunavut, Dr. Snow has experienced the education system of the territory from multiple perspectives which has led her to research in service of her first home. She researches in the areas of Inuit student success, persistence and wellness as well as Inuit teacher education, and resilience.
