On January 16-17, the Dickey Center for International Understanding welcomed postdoctoral fellows past and present for the 2025 Rosenwald U.S. Foreign Policy and International Security Postdoctoral Fellows' Alumni Conference. The event provided a unique opportunity for the current cohort and Dartmouth faculty to connect with Rosenwald alumni who have gone on to establish careers at leading universities across the U.S. and internationally.

Thirteen War and Peace Fellows traveled to Japan and Korea to study geopolitical, security, and economic issues in the region. In Tokyo, they learned about Japan's diplomacy and defense from members of Japan's Self Defense Force and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and met with journalists and NGO representatives.

During winterim, eight students from the Dickey Center's International Studies Minor (ISM) traveled to New York City to connect with professionals at the forefront of international affairs. The students met in person with experts representing a range of international organizations, gaining valuable insights into potential international career paths.
