Danni Kohut is a ’19 from Los Angeles, California, who graduated from the Stanford Education Program for Gifted Youth. At Dartmouth she is double-majoring in Native American Studies and English, with a concentration in creative writing. In addition to working with the Institute of Arctic Studies, Danni is also co-president of the Environmental Conservation Club. She hopes to express Native stories, history, and current political problems through art. As a first year student, she looks forward to studying history and culture in Rome next fall, and eventually applying to the Stefansson Fellowship in order to research modern storytelling in Iceland. She enjoys traveling to the Arctic countries, as well as playing with her fat dog, Tiger.
