David Edelson '81 is a Managing Director on the North American Private Equity team at Bain Capital. He was CFO of Loews Corporation until May 2022 and, prior to joining Loews in 2005, he was EVP & Corporate Treasurer of JPMorgan Chase. He serves as a director of AutoNation Inc. David graduated from Dartmouth in 1981 with an AB in English and subsequently received his MBA from Stanford. While at Dartmouth, David participated in off-campus programs in Blois, France (French) and Washington, D.C. (Government). As an alumnus, David has been an active fundraiser; in 2013, he was inducted into the Stephen F. Mandel '52 Society in recognition of his leadership in raising gifts for the College. David has served on the Dartmouth College Fund Committee, the Alumni Council, and the Nominating & Alumni Trustee Search Committee, and as co-chair of the 1769 Society. He is currently a member of Dartmouth's New York Regional Campaign Committee. Away from Dartmouth, David chairs the board of Hebrew Union College and previously was board president of the Jewish Board of Family & Children's Services in New York. David lives in Manhattan and has three children, two of whom graduated from Dartmouth.
