Emma Ratchford is a '25 from Jupiter, FL majoring in Government and Environmental Studies, with a minor in Music. She is uniquely interested in sustainable development, natural resource management, and cultural diplomacy. She recently spent the summer in Cabo Verde on a Boren scholarship to study Portuguese, and has interned at various nonprofits and think tanks, working specifically in the fields of international education and foreign policy. On campus, she is a War & Peace Fellow, Spanish drill instructor, Environmental Studies research assistant, and a member of various student ensembles. She was also part of Great Issues Scholars her freshman year, and has been awarded various grants through the Dickey Center and Center for Social Impact.
