  • JSEP Graduate Fellow

  • Ph.D. Candidate Engineering

Joshua is a PhD candidate at the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth working under Professor Laura Ray. His research focuses on solar powered robotic sensing of the polar regions. Weather stations spread throughout the world offer continuous data from set locations. Robots acting as mobile measurement platforms can increase our understanding of what happens between those set locations, and better aid in climate modeling. Solar power increases the range and duration that these robots are able to make measurements, while causing less contamination than previous gasoline powered machines.
