Najma Bore is a '27 from Auburn, Maine, majoring in Cognitive Science with minors in International Studies and Global Health. Her passion lies at the intersection of global health and international affairs, with the goal of helping healthcare transcend national boundaries by providing access to quality care for all individuals. She also aspires to address the impact of medical disparities on cognition.
This past summer, Najma served as a Quality Improvement Specialist Intern at HealthReach, focusing on improving medical care for underserved communities in western and central Maine. She also continued her role as a research assistant for the Sustainable Health Lab at the Dartmouth Institute, conducting remote research on health equity practices across the country.
Najma is a Great Issues Scholar and a Global Health Fellow at the Dickey Center. Outside the Dickey Center, she is involved with the First-Year Advisory Board, Consult Your Community, the Global Health Coalition, Health Care Access for All, and the Muslim Students Association. She was also a Pathways to Medicine Scholar and a Foundations in Social Impact Consultant.
Beyond academics, Najma loves aviation, hiking, trying new matcha spots with friends, and spending time with cats.
