A life-long advocate for literature and importing diverse, multi-cultural literary work into the United States, she has spent the past 20 years linking authors to publishers, as well as editing and translating books and poetry to expand cultural awareness through international literature. Fluent in English and Spanish, she regularly speaks at conferences and events on cross-cultural consciousness and publishing trends.
Samantha received a Master of Fine Arts in Literature from the New School Graduate Writing Program. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College, majoring in English with concentrations in Spanish and German. She received a 2023 National Endowment for the Arts Translation Fellowship to translate one of renowned Mexican author Carmen Boullosa's twenty novels, and a 2024 American Academy in Berlin fellowship to translate Spanish author Irati Elorrieta's debut novel into English.
