Tyler Jost is Assistant Professor of Political Science at Brown University, as well as Assistant Professor of China Studies at the Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs. His research focuses on national security decision-making, bureaucratic politics, and Chinese foreign policy. His first book, Bureaucracies at War: The Institutional Origins of Miscalculation is forthcoming with the Cambridge Studies in International Relations at Cambridge University Press. His other work has been published or is forthcoming at International Security, International Studies Quarterly, and the Journal of Conflict Resolution
