Liz McClintock '86 is the incoming Chair of the Board of Visitors of the John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth College, only the third person to hold the office in the Center's forty year history.

A member of the board since 2018, McClintock has brought to the Dickey Center a wealth of experience in international conflict management as a practitioner, scholar, and consultant, as well as non-profit executive. She is well-known at Dartmouth for sharing her time and expertise, having organized and run simulations for the Dickey Center's Great Issue Scholars and Global Health Fellows. Through the simulations, students learn to more effectively manage multi stakeholder dialogue to address global public health challenges.

"It is an honor to have been chosen to serve Dartmouth and the Dickey Center as Chair of the Board of Visitors," McClintock said. "The Dickey Center offers students a wealth of opportunities to engage with and learn from the world. I look forward to working with Tori, her team, and the rest of the Board to expand and deepen those opportunities."

McClintock is the Executive Director of Bridgeway Group, a Boston-based non-profit, building the capacity of organizations and individuals in negotiation, conflict management, communication, and leadership skills. She has been an advisor to the US government, the United Nations, and overseen multi-country global health projects for the World Health Organization. She is also an adjunct lecturer at both The Fletcher School, Tufts University, and the Johns Hopkins' School of Advanced International Studies.

Departing Chair, Bill Obenshain '62, T '63, welcomed McClintock as he completed nearly 10 years at the helm of the Board of Visitors. "I am thrilled. Liz embodies and embraces Dickey's goal to deepen international understanding through education, research, interdisciplinary collaboration, and cross-cultural connection," said Obenshain. "I am certain she will take Dickey into its next decade with expertise and energy, alongside a terrific board."

Victoria Holt, Norman E. McCulloch Jr. Director of the Dickey Center, joined Obenshain in welcoming McClintock. "I am excited to work with Liz and draw on her leadership and extensive experience in international affairs and with Dartmouth. We are sure to benefit from her vision and skills as we tackle complicated, critical global issues."

In addition to McClintock, the Dickey Center is delighted to welcome new board members Lola Adedokun '03, Jamal Brown '08, Thomas Morrow '92, and Jennifer Wood '95. Each brings to the board unique and valuable perspectives on international relations, broadening and deepening the board as it looks to guide the Dickey Center in its mission to inspire and prepare the next generation of global leaders.

The Dickey Center will celebrate its 40th anniversary this fall, including events welcoming Liz McClintock and the new board members, and honoring Bill Obenshain's leadership
