The Chase Peace Prize is awarded each year to the best senior thesis or culminating project that treats the subject of war, conflict resolution, the prospects and problems of maintaining peace, or other related topics. This year's recipients are:
[more]The John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding at Dartmouth is pleased to welcome three new members to its board of visitors this fall: Dr. Claire Wagner '10 is Head of Corporate Strategy and Market Access at the Bill & Melinda Gates Medical Research Institute where she supports the execution of the CEO's vision and serves as a member of the leadership team. She leads the institute's global access strategy across the portfolio as well as related engagement with commercial partners, financial institutions, and multilaterals.
[more]Our fall '24 Magro Family Distinguished Visitor in International Affairs was US Ambassador to Rwanda from 2015-18, and most recently lead the successful US effort to rejoin UNESCO. Amb. Ruggles will teach INTS 80.04: "Diplomacy in a Complex World."
[more]The John Sloan Dickey Center for International Understanding lauds a new, sustaining endowment from Georgina "Gina" Tugwell Russo '77 P'08 and Thomas "Tom" A. Russo '77 P'08 for the Great Issues Scholars (GIS) Program. Their gift of $1.1M will underwrite one of the Dickey Center's signature student programs and strengthen our commitment to support international understanding at Dartmouth.
